Tied a hook to my 4lb flurocarbon leader (uni knot) , wet it, then pulled it tight, broke, tried again but kept braking, even with diffrent knots hooks and swivels, i even folded it in half like you do with braid to leader, but still snapped, can some on plz tell me what im doing wrong??

you could try useing a diffrent knot as the heat from pulling the uni tight may be weaking it (but pretty unlikly)

it is only 4lb so it will break pretty easy anyway and any force over 1.8kg (or 4lbs) should break it anyways

but if your still thinking it is breaking too easy and well under its rateing try putting it onto some good scales that will read light weights and giveing a section a test

you may very well have a dud batch of line and if this is the case take it back to get excanged from where you brought it from

Strip a few metres off the spool and try again. I've had fluoro have a few duff metres that broke easily before.

if your drag is set correctly you can releive alot of pressure onto the knot when the fish strikes or runs. i use 4lb nearly everywhere and with the right drag setting you can pull big fish from most sturctures. bit of luck thrown in as well on some situations and you can have impressive results

sounds like a dud batch to me. 4lb is pretty strong stuff and if you're tying your knots properly is shouldnt snap that easily. Which Brand flouro are you using?
