Removing tREBLES?

Hi Peoples,

I generalyy fish H/B's such as SX 40's & Scorpions, over shallow weed beds.

Naturally I catch weed, mostly on the bottom treble. From waht I can see in pics, most bream are caught on the rear treble.

Do any people remove the bottom treble?

Does this then make suspending lures slightly bouyant?

Would this be of benefit, or hinderence?
