Arrow tsunami super bream

Came across a jarvis walker distrubuted lure at Kmart called the 'tsunami super bream'. Pretty cheap at $6.99 and comes with mustad trebles. Build quality looks quite good; the question is: does it catch fish? Has anyone caught a bream on this lure? I bought one today, but wont be trying it out till late next week at the earliest, but im itching to know what other people think of it.

sorry about the image quality it was taken on my camera fone.

You would want to upgrade the trebles on that for starters. In future maybe try a few extra dollars and buy a Strike pro Pygmie or something that is still cheap but a bit better quality. I'd be tuning that thing up and tying a very big loop knot

I have 1 of those, although I found it a little to large for my local. 50mm long if I remember correctly. Smaller lures get more inquires for me in the Swan.

I'm hope to try it in Augusta/Blackwood on big angry bream, when I find time. They look the goods.

I've used them and find they're excellent for the money. I use the Pink and the Darkish Colour one (Forgot name, sorry). I just kept the Mustad Trebles on them. I've caught Lizards, Bream, Moses Perch, Tailor, Pike on them. I'll get a shot of a fish with one in it's mouth later and post it up for you. But if you don't want to spend $20 on one lure and if you're beginning I'd grab one of these, they've got a nice action and are a suspending lure.

Id be really interested to see a shot of a fish caught on this lure... ive already got the gold color, ill go buy the pink/black one too...
Some people say to replace the trebles on these, but they come with mustad hooks, which are supposd to be good...so i dont see why they need to be replaced.

Mate of mine uses them on the perch, thinks its the trout pattern one.
They seem to swim pritty well, fairly loose action on them. goood lure for the price.

They look very similar to the Daiwa SC Shiner.

True, it looks nearly identical. Except for the bib which is a lot steaper and longer on the shiner.... action is probably similar too, but I think the super bream lure is more of a suspending one.

I've had one of these for a while now went out the other day thought i'd give it a try. Caught a bream on it then a few mullet had a go at it. They go ok i guess but to catch more fish i would get something a bit better.

One of my first HB this one (the missus picked it out for me) they are floaters and they float too quickly IMO. They have a very loose action and the hooks are not to crah hot either. Apart from that, they are a very good starting lure. I don' know too many people who would be comfortable tying an sx40 on for their first HB session.

They also make a "Bass" style lure (chubbie looking thing) which come in 2 colours, i have caught fish on both of these and they have a slightly tighter action from my experience.

If you are new to HB's like i was when i bought them give them a crack. but do replace the trebles as they rust that quickly it will happen while you are reeling in a fish
