i was a big fan of owner trebs but been using decoys and loving them on my trip down south i caught about 30 bream on the decoy treble and was still strong and sharp. With the small owners they tend to bend easy so you have to change them often .

I'll second the Decoys, super strong and sharp. I've also been using some Tiemcos but availability wasnt very good but they are deadly sharp and strong too!

Pretty sure the decoy's are the tiemco ones, heard they come from the same manufacturer?
I'm liking the Vanfooks, get a couple more in the pack too!

I use both the decoys or the owners depending on the weight i need to balance the lure.Decoys are great and don,t allow the fish as much leverage to straighten the hooks. As for the Tiemco i wasn,t aware they had after market treble , i guess they would need to because the trebs on some of their lures are by far the worst i,ve used.
cheers brenton

iv been useing the vanhooks as well but i dont think they are as sticky sharp as the owners, they take a bit to bend them but they dont snap like the owners do, they just keep bending, im curious about these decoys, iv only tryed the decoy singles and they are good, i like the gamma singles too they work awsome. iv given the tiamco barbless trebbles a go and loved the hook points on them they were super sharp, but got crushed bad and bent eazy if i went hard on them.

The VMC Pyramid points are a good cheaper option, sharp too - my go-to lures all get Tiemcos or Decoys, but the VMCs are proving very corossion resistant and sufficiently sharp for a cheaper option. The 1000 packs have caught my eye

Tiemcos and Decoys are deff not the same ! The Decoys have been speciffically designed for Australia and only released about 6 weeks ago ! And that was the first shipment from the Factory to anywhere in the world !

The Decoys look pretty good. Very sharp out the box, wide gape, short shank, balance orientation of points, etc. and corrosion resistant finish. Looking to try them out sometime when I get back from hols, on the small lures. Have been fairly happy with the Owners so far: have had bent trebles, busted trebles and dulled points after a few seshes and fish though, reckon that's fairly normal. Still so far the best compromise on wire weight, size, sharpness and corrosion resistance for me. I find the VMC's a little heavy, and it affects tuning a fair bit.

Keen to see how they hold up when a jack/cod/barra/tarpon decides to grab hold!
