orange reel priced at 129$ at my local tackleworld.
Any one got one?
any good?
i'm thinking of getting a 1000 on a Raider2 1-4 kg.

My understading of these reels is that they are made for the US market & specially imported by Tackeworld. I don't know much about them but that they fit in between our Sienna & Sedona models. Check out http://fish.shimano.com/publish/cont.../spinning.html for more info. I would think that it is a bit overpriced for where it sits. Another $30 should see you get a Shimano Symetre, which is a great reel. Hope this helps.

thanks mr music so ya reckon i should go the symetre i have owned one before but it got squashed by a rock when i was fishing a rock wall.
currently using an exceller 2500 but want something smaller so i thought i'd the sonora 1000, it looks the goods to. Colour would match the raider2.

Ouch! I guess he rock just didn't like your reel. I run a 4000 Symetre on my larger outfit and use it for everything from Mackerel to Barra and it goes alright, even though I haven't had much chance to stretch it yet. I have used them though before and find them to be excellent. Some K-mart stores now also stock last years model (the one most of us have) so you may be able to pick it up even cheaper during one of their sales.
