Maiden voyage newbie got one

Hi ALL,

2 Weeks ago I was given a minnow kayak and thought WOW I can problably fish in this.

Well I got some clips for the paddle, installed a rod holder bought a small rod ( as i only had beach rods) and off I went in to Lake Macquarie. Within 30 minutes of trolling a lure I caught a 70cm flathead. What a way to begin.

I gathered a lot of info from here and would like to thank you all for your posts as most of my questions have been aswered by others previously. This made my setup easy.

WHat a great little hobby.

Thanks

David

Well done David

Kayaks are great to troll out of compared to tinnies, you can troll little boating channels were a tinny would scare fish...
Their also a good thing for stealthin around the flats spinnin for bream & pinkies in the lake...
