Well i have taken the plunge and decided to try a more expensive lure in the hope the bream might take me a bit more seriously. Has anyone had any luck with this make of lure.

Nah their rubbish...don't buy any more...leave some for others

Seriously though if I only had $23 to spend that would be the lure I would buy. Try a variety of retrieves until you find one that works for you on the day.

Good luck with it.

I paid $21 here in SA stretch have you tired DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh.com.au or lureworld.com.au or mylureshop.com to check their pricing

Most of the 'top end' lures are around the $20 mark. Its sure worth while spending that few extra bucks and getting top quality lures I learnt the hard way

Yes good colour choice, and the whole khamsin range is great.
And as far as that price range goes you wont find much better.

Khamsin JR...drool!!

get used to the price though, next shipment of Zipbaits will be going up in price...like just about everything else! We stocked up bigtime on most of our lures so you can still enjoy the lower prices for a while yet.

Wonder how long it will be before any brand of HB lure goes over the $20 mark.... For the price you paid mate, its a great investment.

Coming from someone who's only just started investing in HB lures...Just curious ...what's different about the Khamsin JR that warrants the over $20 price? Compared to say an Atomic Hardz cos it looks similiar.....to me at least...

In answer to your question Ilovebreams, Patented technology such as the Mag-drive system and MZ-19 tungsten which is very difficult to replicate by competitors, standard tungsten has a specific gravity of around 12 and MZ-19 around 18.3 this alloy coupled with the Mag-drive casting system make them cast further than others while giving a perfect balance on retrieve

So in short materials costs and cost of producing MZ-19 plus extra time to actually construct lure with Mag-drive system which has 5 seperate parts that need to put together, they're priced accordingly in Japan as well and cost a little more than some others.

Nice colour choice Stretch heard that one's a winnerhope you get a few

Mark

I have had 2 in my lure box for a while now and yesterday got brave enough to give it throw.
1 cast one 49cm Flathead, and then it was time to go home, buggar.

If it continue to catch fish at anything like that rate I will certainly invest in more, but the last lure I caught a good fish on the first cast hasn't caught a thing since.

For reference it was a Rigge 43 MDR in gold and red.

"A lure is a lie - told by a fisherman, to a fish!"
You get what you pay for and the Khamsin JR is one of the best Bull sh...ers arround. Its a bigish lure that will attract the bigger fish - and casts like a bullit. After foolin arround with them a bit I prefer the SR but that is because I'm doing mostly shallower work. $23 is a tad exy - there are 2 privatly owned tackle stores in Albany both selling them for arround the $20 mark. It might pay to shop arround a bit next time.
Good luck with lure - you won't be dissapointed with the investment.
Cheers mbp
