Squidgy Jig heads
Having purchased a selection of Squidgy jig heads (Hey - it was before I heard of Breammaster - please forgive me
), I found it somewhat frustrating that all the books and forums talk in ounces.Even Bushy & Starlos book!! So, did some surfing to find that : - 1/32 Ounce = 0.875 Grams - 1/16 Ounce = 1.75 Grams - 1/8 Ounce = 3.5 Grams - 1/4 Ounce = 7 Grams Perhaps tyhis may help others who have fallen victim to the squidgy marketing machine. Cheers, Scott |

Metric at Last !
Three cheers for the Squidgy marketing machine.
We went metric 20 years ago The most confusing aspect about fishing has been 1 and 1/0 hooks, 3/32, yards, metres, 3 kg rods and 6 lb line ...... yeah easy enough to learn for me - but what a nuisance for a new guy or my fully metric kids! G |

Guys. The reason the gear is in pounds is because it is either made in the US, or made FOR the US.
Unfortunately, us Aussies dont make up enough of their sales to warrant them changing to metric! Dave |

yes but
yes - we know about the US reluctance to join the world
But in most other product categories the products need to be re labelled in metric before being sold. Does anyone know where teh weird numbering system for hooks came from? Just curious Gary |

I've grown up fully metric (i'm 14) and i find that now i prefer to talk about somethings in imperial measurements. It's easier for me to talk about lengths under a meter in inches and weights in ounces and pounds. But i just can't talk about line diameter in inches (too confusing for me).
Anyway i quite often use squidgy jigheads (can't afford gamas on my budget ) and i find them good value. I can cast the 2g jigheads a mile! The 2g and 1.5g jigheads cover most of my sp fising.

I'm metric in everything but fishing line which I know by pound, but I'd have no idea how much 1 pound of butter would be.
