Bluey Ugly Sticks
Has anyone used these Bluey Ugly Sticks? They're only 3'9" in length and I thought it might be a good s/p rod for fishing under piers and docks from my kayak or canoe.
$69, full price for half a rod! thanhs, Shoey. |

No way I'd use one if I was paid! They fold right over on themselves and have no sensitivity! Yes they are cheap for the price, but I can bet you'd get twice the enjoyment if you went and bought a short graphite rod.
Pleeease don't buy and ugly stik for breamin'!

I think they are made for children, not adults who are serious about fishing. You can also get lunchboxes, etc in the "Bluey" range from Shakespeare.

ive got a uglystik 2000 3'9" rod.. probably the same deal.. soft and floppy as hell.. but hey, it works too.. it was my first ever plastics rod and i could cast 1/32 jigheads comfortably with it.. its even caught a couple of decent fish.. like a 4kg queenfish.. .. not bad for a noodle stick.. ehehe..
