What do you guys think of the daiwa regal5i?
I'm looking to buy one.

They are ok but the Regal is not what it used to be. For a little more you could get a Abu Cardinal 801 or 802. Probably a better reel for similar money. Diawa Exceller is a little more again. Shimano Symetre is in there and not bad if you can find one discounted.

If your a bit hard on you tackle go the Abu.

good entry level spinning reel, for the price your getting the basic designs of the top end reels at a budget. if you look after it you will get a lengthy faithfull little reel
