Usually i have been using either atomic or brewer paddletails but ive been using the EG 1.75' minnows and they rule. The speed the tail swims at is slow and thats the way i like to fish my plastics. Have tried the pink, watermelon/pumkin & grey/pearl and they all have caught 32cm+ bream on the first session with them (all on different days). The grey/pearl are my current favourite but they are expensive and if choppers are around You may has well take the EG off the jighead and throw it in, tailor will attack it before you start winding

Anyway i start with other softies first but always feel confident with them

Hi,

Ecogear Grass Minnows S(1.75'), Minitank, and Para Max 3'( cut down to 2' or 2.5') with 1/16 oz jighead. They are dynamite for bream fishing. They are a bit expensive but they really proven good fish catcher. The colour not only catch people's eyes. It catch fish's eyes too

That's my fav EG at the moment as well - oddly enough Whiting like them too

Whiting nice Might have to give it a try. I prefer to use the 1/32 with EG Minnow S because I beleive that 1/16 are just to big

I dunno what you guys think but I have been finding that any lure be it a hard or soft lure that regularly takes whiting will be a real winner on bream.

Yet to hook a whiting on soft plastics but the area's i have been fishing are not really known for whiting.
Ravin I guess if a whiting will take it, it must be a ressonable lure because they are usually quite fussy

Grant I have found whiting to be very fussy on plastics here. It is to be expected though cause the area I fish for whiting is only a meter deep at high tide & crystal clear & most fish are picky in those conditions. Its fun though & big whiting go hard once they get over the 40 cm mark.Not bad on a plate either

Might have to go target some whiting

I guess you can drop the leader down and hope nothing bigger takes it

The usual Whiting haunts, yabbie beds on an incoming tide, sandy drop-offs, estuary inlets etc.

Grant I've had most luck with a cut down Muscadine Slider (that's why I'm hanging for the 1" ones to come in

) - but I know a couple of bloke hereabouts that like the 'bloodworm' colour as well.

mmmm Muscadine sliders are still the bees knees but I'm down to my last 3 and im saving them (I dont know what for

) Also got some amber paddletails and they look whiting likable

I fish weed beds & yabbie banks & any areas I see soldier crabs at low tide. I have had a lot of success with cut down muscadine sliders mainly. I have been using the 1 inch sliders in Strawberry colour as well & they are great. A couple weeks ago I got some amber fat grubs & at this time they are the most successful softy.I have just got my latest order with eco grass minnows in red/clear glitter & I reckon they will be awsome. Can't wait to try them
