Oval Split Rings

For the Brisbane people,

Has anyone seen oval split rings in tackle stores, like the ones on Lucky Crafts and Jackalls? Now that I'm almost out of flyclips (again), I need split rings for my hardbodies, but I don't want to run into the chance of the line cutting at the split, or tie loop knots.

Cheers,

What about a snap like the Decoy Round Snaps, never had a problem with them. Can quickly change from hb to hb to sp etc, etc. And they fit through the guides which make it real easy to pack and unpack quickly (i leave the rod in the car at at work and go when ever i get the chance)

I've tried snaps in general, like the Owner Silent Snaps in size 00 and Decoy V-snaps, but found them a bit obtrustive.

What I liked about the flyclips all over the other snaps is that they're pretty unobtrusive, and I found them pretty easy to use. They look just like a split ring, and sufficient in strength for breaming purposes - and any bycatch. And like you said, it's convenient when they're small enough to fit through the guides for easy packing.

But now I've run out of my No-Knot Fas-Snaps which I got from I. Sewelly, I've got to look for alternatives. I mean, I would not hestitate to get these from Basspro, but shipping is steep. Maybe I could pester them to send them to me in an envelop, haha.

Anyway, here is a picture.
