the 3 for $19 are the kokoda copies of scorpian 52's. never tried but really dont like the colours. just watch with the cheaper lures about there action, you really wont your lure to swim dead strait so you may need to tune them.
$10 one looks like a killalure, they used to be a good old school lure, i have about 1.5-2m of flurocarbon leader tied to braid then a loop knot to tie the fluro to the lure. you dont have to many problems with to much side swimming then. HTH

I'm a no swivell person althought alternative to retying everytime you change lures, you put a Fly Clip onto the leader.
This will allow you to change lures quickly without having to cut your leader. Although practice tying knots is allegedly a goog think, I am lazy ![]() Good luck. ps IMO you a better trying more proven lures, maybe they are more expensive but should get more hits. That said if you are fishing flats you shouldn't lose many lures, but if you are constantly throwing into snags, the cheaper maybe better. You may have to adjust the swim that is all. Good luck

These bottom three are exceptional lures around melbourne, the top lures will work well but make sure you tune them. All lures will work of put in the right place. I fish 72mm double clutches for bream sometimes just for fun and they work well.

hi Drewy, thankyou for ur advice, so i beleive u from melbourne as well? could you show me some of the lures that u used?
btw tunning the lure means?? also i check out the clips but the store keep say, for bream lure its better not to use.. since the clip might effect the "swimming" action on the lure.. XD im new to HBs thx for teaching |

All lures work, its just a matter of presentation. Some might work better than others but that could have a lot to do with confidence as has been said previously. The ecogear and juro range seem to work as good as any, I prefer to use knots only not clips, but each for ther own i guess.

Care it is not the Swivell clips the shop keeper is talking about.
Fly Clips are as attached picture. I have never had a problem.

to my knowledge the Daiwa lure you have is an evolution of the older Silver Creek (SC) Shad, which may well have been in the marketplace before the "eco".It will dive to about 1.5m and suspend, the SX is a floater. The Pygmy is older stock, as the newer models are now fitted with Owner trebles. A great lure non-the-less just watch the hooks after you nail that first big bluey ![]() Give the swivels & clips a miss, follow d0weLLy's advice and tie a loop knot to the tow-point or a uni knot to the split ring. Swivels are only necessary to alleviate line twist from a spinning lure, if your HB is spinning it requires some serious tuning. Good luck MM

Morning Cwlalan, Looks like you now have a standard cross the board selection of lures than will certainly jag you a bream. There are quiet a number of people landing fish on these lures at present around the Melbourne area.
So my suggestion would be to head out there and give them a go. If i was yourself starting out, id take one or two of the lures on the trip to get a feel for them and how they swim, instead of taking the whole lot down and changing selection every third cast. Once you get a better feel of the action that each lure has youll have more confidence in feeling the fish take the lure. The lure should swim straight, but depending on make and quality it may track to one side. Take a small set of pointy nose pliers with you. If the lure is swimming slightly to the left, then slighty bend the anchor point on the bib to the right. If it swims right, then do the opposite , bending the anchor point to the left. Dont be to heavy handed with them, as you dont want to break the lure or over tune it the other way. The only way youll know if they have to be tuned is by giving them a swim, so pack your rod, lures, camera and sunscreen and get out there. A good place to start is the Warmies at Newport. You should be able to wrangle abream or two down there. Be sure to get down there early though as there can be quiet afew fishos down there fishing at any one time. Cheers Nick |

thankyou Nick for the quick reply, yes, i been to Newport, the Warmies place you mention is that the Boat ramp? i only able to locate that on melway, btw i also search a product called luresaver, are they any good?
here is the link http://www.ultimateluresaver.com/how.cfm i also understand if i use this product i will need to do a linetest and determine which size suit on my rod and line so that shouldnt be a problem, the problem is.. they ALSO abit pricey.. worth to getting one? or are there any cheaper produce avalible and work as good?? thankyou __________________ Waiting, Learning, Fishing!!
