where to fish near noosa

hey guys im not sure if this is the correct thread but here it goes.

i have been invited by my mates family to go to noosa for the week staying near lake cootharaba (spelling)

we are looking to do alot of fishing over the week but seeing as we have never fished the area just wondering where are some accesabile places by foot not to far away.

we would like to target anything and on anything but preferably soft plastics.

any ideas where and what we could fish/target?
