WABT Announces a New Face for the 2008 Team

It's with great pleasure that I welcome aboard Phil 'Madphil' Jagger as the 2008 WABT Event Organiser. Phil will be taking over from Sean Forward as the Event Organiser and MC on location at each of WABT's major events for 2008.

Sean Forward: 'It's great to have Phil on board for 2008. He has a great relationship with all anglers a will be a much needed fresh face in running the Events on Location. I wish Phil all the best for the 2008 season and hope anglers work with Phil as well as they have with me for the past 2 years.'

Sean Forward will remain as the WABT Tournament Director looking after the day to day running of events, but will rejoin the WABT Pro Tour in 2008 as a boater.

Please join with us in welcoming Phil aboard for 2008 and wishing him all the best for the season.

Thanks,

Great to see Phil continue his involvement with WABT and in fact stepping it up a few notches. He certainly will bring his own colourful slant to the comps

Maybe a sensible haircut next year eh?

Good to see Bear back into the competitor mix again too. A big thanks for all your hard yards and being the face of WABT in recent years Bear.

Nice one.

Nice to see Bear back in the comps, and I am sure Phil will be great with the mic.

Already looking forward to next years comps and this years havent even finished.

Thanks all for the support and also to Bear for both his previous efforts in running the tournaments and also for giving me the oppurtunity to take further part in the WABT events.

This latter statement also extends to the whole WABT team and I am looking forward to working closely with all (organisers and anglers) next year.

A hair cut, however, will not be forthcoming and the closest you will get is me wearing a collared shirt.

Thanks Again,

Phil

Many thanks for the kind words guys, the hard work doesn't stop so much, but I'm really looking forward to being able to fish the comps again and giving Phil a hand with the weigh-ins etc.

I hope to be able to get more involved with anglers as well and build on the work we have done over the past few years.

Thanks again to all,

I think what you meant to say Karl was that Phil looks like a microphone, skinny with a fluffy top.
Good to hear that the Mad one will be involved next year and that Bear gets to do some fishing.
Should be another cracking year and I for one am looking forward to it.

Cheers, Dror

More good news....

Congratulations to bare Bear and fluffy Phil, a rewarding change in direction for both.

I hope it also makes you two more accessible at events as I have learnt HEAPS about this sport from just listening and watching and hope the new guys get the same chance.

Don't think a collar is quantum style leap Fluffy you will have to work harder that that...

l'll go with the shirt tucked in Phil as long as your pants are pulled up high too. Great to have you aboard mate and good luck for the 2008 season.
