I love the Symetres - I've got three 1500s and reckon they are the best value for money reliable reel on the market....
...a friend has a Daiwa Exceller 2000, but is having trouble with it - developed a wobble on the front...

Daiwa Exleler Plus, Penn Applause are my top two in that range.
Exeleler nice and smooth, new plus version come with airbail so thats nice. The penns are very solid, smooth, and reliable. Cheers, nathan PS: "Reel"

Penn Applaule gets my vote too! I have never seen a reel that good for such a price. IMO if your looking for a reel for under $150 the Penn range is unbeatable.
