hi yeungy
i wouldnt go for that brand.
i know some one has one and the head gasket went,
he is alright cos it came with spare head gasket but
its not the point, the point is it should not had broken down.
it may have yamaha parts, but its a cheap brand.
what happens if u went out in deep water and the motor plays up? ya gona have some trouble, its not worth the risk, i wouldnt personal buy one of those.id rather go for 2nd hand than sail
cheers ben

Yeah mate go a known brand for sure. I'd say they would be like those dodgy quads that you see everywhere but never ebing riden as they pack it in after no time.

What size engine are you after?

k,, well i only had a 15hp and we got it brand new so we had to wear it in (run it in) pretty much idoling the engine for a period of time so that way when u go to use it properly your not gonna stress the engine out to much....i think i got that right,.. if anyone can correct me feel free :P

when u buy a new motor you should get a book manual.
it will show how to run(wear the motor in).
in a new motor that never been use must run in,
the rings and pistion , bearings are tight , u need too loosen
them and the new motor bores has like sand paper marks on
wich is newly rebored, when run the motor in, the bores where piston goes, then becomes pollish like smoothness,

to run in a 2 stroke motor
( comes from my yamaha manual)

run motor in @ 25:1 ratio fuel ( 5 lt fuel , 200 ml oil)

1. first 10 to 15 min run the motor at idle

2. next 50 min, do not exceed half throttle about 3000 rpm,
Vary engine speed occasionally.

3. 2nd hour, accelerate at full throttle onto plane then reduce
engine speed to three quarter approximately 4000 rpm,
vary engine speed occasionally. run at full throttle for 1 min
then allow 10 mins of operation at 3 quarter throttle OR LESS
to let the engine cool.

4. 3rd to 10th hours
Avoid operating at full throttle for more than 5 mins at a tim.
let the engine cool between full-throttle runs. vary engine
speed occasionally.

5. after 10th hours operate engine normaly,
use the standard premix ratio fuel and oil
(100:1 5 lt fuel, 50 ml oil).

AT the 10th hour i gave my motor a service at JV marine.
cheers ben
