reasonable price.....what do you call reasonable?? what i call reasonable someone else might call expensive or vice versa. give us some ball park figures and we should be able to help. i think the daiwa airity is reasonably priced for what you get

The Okuma Epix is around that price and for around $20 more, you can get the Daiwa laguna which is a top reel.
Talk to Geoff P about it mate!

Get a Daiwa Laguna 1500. Awesome value for money, handles Fireline well, 7BB and very smooth - great drag system too. Around the $170 mark... metal bodied as well. Worth spending the extra bucks for sure...

Go the Okuma Epix 20

It may be a touch large for what you need but I don't find it a problem.

Another option could be the Okuma Avenger 15. It's well under $100, a sweet size, and really puts the anchors on fish - the 5 year warranty can't be beat

Admittedly, it's not the prettiest of reels, but I think mine would've accounted for over 200 Bream easy - with next to no maintenence from me (yes I'm a slack arsed barstard ), and the drag is as good as the day I bought it.

Cheers,

I`d probably go a Laguna or an Avenger, Ive never used a laguna but Ive heard they are a top little reel. I use and Epix 20 and think they are pretty awesome and fall into your price range, but check if you like the weight of it though. Then Id say an Avenger for sure, which im actually using as my main reel - great reel for $75 odd, and like Dave said you cant go wrong with the 5 year warranty.

cheers

I've got a Samuria, which is interanally very similar to the Laguna (i think), but the laguna has better quality internals. The body is also much better. Mate, get the best reel you can afford. if you can afford the laguna, i really don think you can go wrong.

Question What about a...Stradic ???

Butters,

We've got one only brand new Stradic 1000FG at $215. It is the last of the superseeded model that we are selling at near cost. It will save you around $70 off new price.

Call Geoff in the store on 9271 0555 if you're interested.

Warren.

Hi Butters,
With the new stradics (FH) out you should be able to pick up a 1000FG for around 190-200 bucks.
Thats the kind of deals they are doing on the east coast anyway.
Richard.

ahoy hoy

cheers for the input boys, Youre life savers.

im seriously considering that Stradic 1000FG that warren mentioned, and the Okuma Epix. both top reels , would love another stradic, but as i mention cash is an issue atm, so i think the Epix might come as the victor, all depends if i can get some cashy jobs this week .

Even an Okuma Avenger for around 80-90 if you need to go a bit cheaper.
I have never had a problem with an Okuma....touch wood
