It only has 2 CRBB, it's a bit heavy and it is made in China.

I have used a tierra and they go alright.
Not as good as the SOL (see price). The drag is good. Line lay isn't perfect but ok. I have caught everything from just size bream to small mulloway and giant trevally on it.Pat |

g'day yeungy, i bought a 1500 tierra($190) about two months ago and have used it about six times catching small redfin and trout up to 50cm with it and it has develop a bad grinding clunk noise from inside
im not sure as to what it is as i dont want to open it up as it still under warranty but it sounds bad not sure if it just small fault or a busted cog but its not good for a reel that is this new to do this sort of thing. i have a 1000 stradic($185) that i bought nearly a year ago and thats still as strong as it was when i first took it out the box, ill wait to see whats wrong with the tierra when i take it back to make a judgment on if i would buy another one

i run a 2000 tierra with my bream/flathead rig and a stradic 1000 with my creek rig.
the tierra is a fantastic reel, i have been floggin the hell out of it for about 5 months now, and it is still flawless.... no weird noises or anything shane described (although i have serviced my reel myself and clean it every trip). ive used it to catch monster bream (up to 46cm), flathead, big salmon and even brown and rainbow trouts going up to 4lb. there a good reel and well worth the money. ive also fished it side by side with a Sol and although the sol is prettier, personally i wouldsave myself the extra cash and go the tierra if i had to decide over.

my 1500 tierra has just had a caining for 3 days in tassie and held up faultlessly, pushed it a bit harder than i usually would a reel of this size, it handled cast and retrieving 1/4th and 1/2oz jigheads in 9m of water no probs and landed a few 3kg fish from the same depths
it had the full saltwater treatment for 3 days without being washed and still feels silky smooth. to be honest id say a bit of grit or something has gotten inside you reel shane(aka greg) mine is only a few weeks old but has copped a fair workout in that time and held up fine, time will tell though |

yeungy;
$195 isn't a cheap price. That's about what they retail for everywhere

i think you would be suprised fisherman#1
$250 in the store i work in and thats fairly reasonable, $199 on campbells but then your adding postage to that. campbells is usually cheaper than everywhere else so $195 in his hand with no postage fees is cheap. id be suprised if the stores in your area rrp tierras for $195 |
