Rapala 3cm Countdown

Anybody had any success with these on bream. They're supposed to be a trout lure but since they're only 3cm long and ? heavy, they should be good. And how heavy are they?

trout lure

yep chucked it around the black wood in amoungst logs etc from my hornet...worked ok but i found that i needed to add a little bit of lead to the lure to get it to sink a tad...

also the lure needs to get a bit deeper...however as a trout stream lure its fantastic up there with size 2 rublex celtas and rebel crawdads .....

also one that is a killer is a brown trout bennet mcgrath i think thats the name...small lure with a great action it did amazing things at walpole at the front of the franklin river amoungst those snags...

Rapalas are my main bream hard body lure, I have a lot of them in different sizes and colours brought for trout fishing and haven’t bothered to buy any real bream lures apart from the sneaky scorpion .
CD stands for count down and you must have the floating model because their designed across the range to sink one foot per second.
Even CD1s cast ok but have minimal action, CD2s good action but it’s always been a lure with casting problems unless you feather the real spool the hooks tend to hang up and I usually use the F5 most of the time.

do they make CD1 and 2's? they must be really really small!

i have been using the CD3's laterly for Bream and have been getting some fish on them. I recon there a great lure for drop offs but its hard when you need to fish say 2-3ft of water with there sinking action... when fishing that depth of water it causes me to have a higher rod tip and faster retreval to prevent the lure sticking to the bottom.

otherwise there a nice lure

Opps should be CD 3 instead OF CD2, CD 1s are really small only 25mm long.
