Nitlon braid.

Had a peek at the Nitlon PE braid today.

Looks pretty good. Tight weave, round profile, and a lot less resin than on FINS. The price is REALLY good too.

Available in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 lb strengths. After deciding that 6 lb is to be my light braid of choice, it looks like a shootout between this and the Sufix may just happen.

so $39 for you or $39 for everyone? Sorry misunderstanding whether $39 was your discounted price or not?

Sounds good...I do like my nitlon.

And only about 58 bucks for the 300 m spool. Like Steve said, the price is very right indeed.

Hey guys,
The nitlon braid is heaps softer than FINS. It's a PE braid, verus the fins (a resin impregnated PRT Spectra Braid). It is really going to compete heavily with the other high quality PE Braids on the market.

One downside is that is a little thicker in diameter compared with other PE braids on the market such as Bass Hard.

It's a really bright high vis yellow colour. Super soft too!

PE and Spectra are the same material. This Nitlon stuff holds colour pretty well, due to the fibres being treated with the resin before braiding. FINS does this as well, but they also treat the braid afterwards as well, so there's heaps of the yellow resin coming off the whole time the line wears in.

I haven't compared it to stuff like Linesystems, but it is really thin, quite round.

Looks like I'm gonna have to keep my eyes peeled for some of this myself.

I'm a huge fan of their leader, so I have no doubt their braid will rock too.

Bumped into Ross today and he showed me his Nitlon line. Felt it and think I may like it as it too (like Line System) feels like cotton, unlike fireline. You were using 4lb right, Ross?

Do they come in bright orange like the Line System? What colours do they come in?
