Suggestions for replacements hook setups for rebel wee crawfish

The hooks which come on the wee crawfish are unfortunately too fragile for the local treble crunching bream and i have tried various replacement hook setups . I'v not yey found one I'm happy with.

I find gama's front and rear are too heavy and the lure either sinks or changes its action dramatically. The hooks often snag on each other too.
The red chem sharp diachis in size 12 are ok but also a bit fragile for the tough bigger fish-(had a crawfish completely crunched in half on the weekend). 12 front and 10 back is slightly better but still gets snagged up.
Some blokes fish with only rear hook but I find heaps of fish are hooked on the belly treble.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
Thanks

You could try size 12 Owner stingers if you can find them. They are lighter than gamas but still reasonably strong (haven't straightened any yet). They are also very sharp.

Watanangler,
I remove the belly hook and replace the rear treble with a Gama/Diachii no 12. chemy.
It works very well.
Don't forget to wash the lure after use as the treble rusts "overnight" and at $+++ a treble thats too expensive to replace all the time.

MadFish won mine off me on the weekend, Id say he`ll be taking the front one off, and putting a gama 10 on the ass of it.

Besides that, I was going to say the same as Jimi, Owner seem to have some hooks with a shorter kneck, perfect for sneakies and these as well I think.

Cheers

Another treble worth looking at for the smaller lures are the Black Vanadium VMCs. Not as soft as the reds and a really sharp treble.

Worth a go.

I'm not too sure over your side of the country. In Perth Bluewater tackle has them.

Can anyone help out watanangler?

James.
