g'day apergole,

Keep going with the SP's. You'll be amazed at how much more there is to learn with them.

With HB's, if you have shall bridge/pylon situations, I don't mind the SX40's. the other one I do like for a bit of depth is the MicroMin's especially in Black Beetle pattern.

Also try small suspension HB's. Little Micro Mullets are a goer and then having a look at the Strike Pro's, I'd give them a go.

Boy, I haven't fished solidly with HB's for quite a while now. I think one trip I'll leave my SP's at home and just take the HB's.

Happy Fishing.

R2S baby vibes would just about be the best for this sort of structure. I know a few guys have also done well in the quicker flowing water using jackalls.

Only Hardbody Ive ever seen catch at a deeper bridge was a Halco Combat in a greeny colour. Madaff was fishing it at the causeway in my first comp in Perth, he`d crank it down to the bottom, then twitch along the bottom of the pylon, on that day he got nailed by a 1.3kg bream which he weighed in and was bigger than the three that I had in the well. His 1.3 smashed the lure then launched towards the surface and got about 2ft air. We had no net either, so it was a grab of the leader and heave it on in.

Scorps have worked for me on the odd bridge down south as well.

cheers

As Bear mentioned earlier River2Sea Baby Vibe 35 lipless crankbaits work ideally on that deep vertical structure.

Ecogear and Rapala make some good heavy lipless crankbaits that will get you to the bottom quickly and are awesome used jigging style
