BreamMaster's Jetboat??

How is the 'bluebird' coming along Warren? This time last year I saw the hull with a little bit of 'glass on the side and no deck in sight. Any pics of the progress?

For all those other boat junkies online, here is a pic of a new boat out of QLD which has recently had on-water testing by Dolphin Boats. It even comes with a poling platform and moster pole.

Hey Bear , I too have heard talk of Rangers soon to be arriving.

If you hear anything concrete (models, and prices specifically) can you please keep us updated.

Cheers.

Hi Mark,

Sorry, missed your post. I took a day of work today and did some more spray painting. Here's a few pics:

And here's the painting I did today. Hopefully I'll be flipping it in the next week or so, so I can finish the interior off.

Cheers

Warren.

Hi Pete,

The white paint is Altex Marine two pack, over Altex high build epoxy primer.

I then sprayed two pack Kombilack clear over it with a silver mini flake mixed through. Came out great, however the pics don't really pick up the flake (the night pick shows a little of it up the front).

Next I masked out the front colour and flames, before spraying a basecoat in mid blue. Once this had tacked off, I spray about 5 coats of Kombilack with a heap of coarse blue flake mixed through it. The finish came up like a gelcoat flake on a ski boat.

I'll give it a couple of days to harden, then hit it with another 3 coats of clear, rub back with 1200 grit, then give it a final coat of clear before rolling it over.

The flake stands up in the clear, hence the extra coats and rub back to give it a nice smooth finish.

Warren.
