Ecogear vt55s

Just saw some vt55s HB's "in the flesh" today they look real nice. I've done a search and could only find reference to them in 4 threads.

If I had a boat I'd get some for sure, I'm just not certain how they'd go land based. Does anyone have any experience with these lures? How do the sinking/lipless jobs rate as a land based lure?

I love the VT55's. I use them for Bream on a regular basis. Tailor love them as well. Colour doesnt seem to be a problem as I use the green one.

I haven't used the VT-55s, but other lipless lures are fine land-based. I basically fish them like a heavier soft plastic. Granted, you will lose more lures than those who have the luxury of a boat, and you'll also generally have to be a lot more careful how you're working it (You're dragging it INTO snags).

Either way, I catch plenty on 'em land-based, even caught bream on them in Melbourne, so I don't see why not.

Got to fish with Lance Sukwalski at the grand final ( Mind the spelling on the last name) and he was using one and i got to see how they swam, they roll back and forth side to side as they sink from memory.

I love the VT55 for anything from Reddies to Trout to Bream. I have caught good numbers of Reddie's as well as Yellas. They are an awesome lure. Try mixing up your retrieve. They are dynamite.

That's them. There must be some new colours out (in the "Premium" labelled box). Thinking about getting the flouro green one that reddies would go mad for I reckon. I seem to have a thing for green HBs at the moment. Got a decent unit on a flouro green laser pro on Sunday. Thanks guys.
