Yama SW Super PE Briad.

I have just bought two spools of the 8lb Super PE braid from Yamatoyo. I seems to tie real well and has good knott strength. Has any one else here tried it and knows how it goes after time ? It is exstreamely thin and knotts pull up small. It will be interesting to see how it goes or how other people have gone using it.

Well I have been using the Yama Super PE Braid for a couple of weeks and it is unreel. I have had absolutely no dramas using it for a comp first up. My biggest fish was 1.31kg and was pulled fron underneath a boat shed from 3 metres back under the door. The line has shoiwn no probs as far as fraying is concerned. The diameter of the 8lb I was using looks very similar to 4lb Fireline. So far well worth the money. There has to be someone else who has been using it and can comment on it.

Sorry Troy I've not seen a spool other than on the net. Sounds like a good buy.

How much did it cost you?

Thought i'd bring this post back up as i'm fairly interested in everyones opinions on this line. I'm still yet to spool up and have fins on the list so far, but may end up getting some yamatoyo pe braid if reports on this stuff is good.
So how many people out there have used this line and what are your opinions of it?
I know bear has been using this line and im keen to hear from ya big fella but i'll be thankful for any opinons from everyone.
cheers all

The only line and leader i use is yamatoyo. i love the stuff! iv never had any problems with it, except after having it for a while you do get a few wind knots but most low diameter braids will do that to you over time. all in all i love it.. personal opinion!

But how is the visibility against the water (because the line is blue) will it be hard to see?

i just spooled up with the 10lb and its the worst line iv ever had for wind knots, i never seem to get them with the reel im useing and cant understand why its giveing me so much drama, its like every cast, and i nealy thruw my $500 combo in the drink out of frustration. the line its self feels great, looks great and even sound great going thrugh the guide but i can not stop the knots, my reel is find so i no thats not it. il be wacking it on a baitcaster as it is good line

It's the leader knot your using and the way your casting.

well i have used it a few times now for the snapper the best one on the new rod reel and line combo going 70cm

at first i didn't like it that much as it seemed to break very easy useing the plain jane double uni knot as a joiner
however now swapping over to the bimini twist and albright to joint the leader i have alot more cofidence in it and finding it very good with a very thin diameter and i'm outfishing my fishing mate now too

I have it on 2 or 3 of my reels and its a dream.
Thin and supple.

As far as wind knots go...you must be doing something wrong because I have never had a wind knot with it.
