Hi Guys,
Linesystems have just released their new trout lines, their Trout PE Braid is a interesting colour, sort of a black and yellow camo thing. Cheers Samurai PS there is a couple of pics of it on the website.

Anything like XDS in colour Warren. Might have to give it a go.

I sed other but only because at the moment my fins braid has gone almost white. Its still pretty visible so i'm fine with it. Doesn't look as shmick on the reels though :P By the w fins braid is good stuff! Nice and thin and got an awsome feel. Fray's a bit though but all braids do. my 2 cents

whenever i look into getting sum braid or fireline i usually go for the flame green due to the following. Wher you're fishing and you aint getting anything it is more interesting looking at flame green fireline then that dull grey colour.

We used to use the yellow/fluro green fireline, but now switched over to the green XDS. Great knot strength, really thin, casts really well... What more can you ask for

Well, I've used a lot of braid, from yellow to green to smoke to white. The yellow's been most successful (FINS and Fireline), 'cos that's what's been on my spools the longest.
Smoke Fireline produced well for me in England spinning for pike and perch (reddies), but only AFTER I started using leaders. Same with green. Many places were very clear waters though. The bright colours (yellow, flame green) helped immensely to show where a cast was headed, light bites, etc. |

Hello all. First post but have been admiring your site and using your shared information for some time now. You have helped out an east coast fisher immensly.
As for braid colour, I have only ever used fireline (no affinity, just readily available) and started out using smoke, but found that lure fishing especially in low light situations (dawn/dusk) or high levels of glare off the water or facing into the sun it was impossible to keep a close "eye on my line". I have now gone for pink with much better visibility but was thinking of giving yellow a go next purchase. I still use my "old smoke" for backing or for bait/beach fishing. Thanks again to all you breammaster's

A clear version of Fireline is on the way be interesting to see the acceptance over the yellow and pink.
Maybe I’ve been unlucky but I’ve always had quality issues with smoke Fireline and stick with the yellow variety. Regards Charlie |
