Putting the Fun Back into a bad Day on the water

Yesterday i found myself graving through the tackle at BiG W , just making sure there was something there that i didnt have , that took my fancy . Theres a sale on tackle so how could i resist . After thoroughly checking the gear , one thing caught my eye , "Simpsons". Who would have thought that crazy cartoon that is based on a typical dysfunctional suburban Amercan family , could release a rod and reel combo , complete with bonus lure . Not only was the lure fre it to was comical . Blinky the three eyed wonder fish from the river next to Power plant , has been released as a lure .. So here he is along with a couple more comical lure i found whilst checking the net for a Blinky lure . So now the challenge lies ..... Would a bream , let alone any fish take one of these lures .....???????

Buddy, I was doing exactly the same thing as you last night after I saw the homer simpson lure and I saw all of those. Here's one I found that might work on some of our "stressed" urban waterways.

This one is specifically for the yarra. Adds new meaning to the phrase "match the hatch". Ranger 175C might have seen this before, it's called the "ultimate crappie lure".

Talking about strange lures, what happened to the lure which looks exactly like the male genitalia with a bib and treble hooks on them? Did they ever catch fish?

Thats Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rodman,'

Thats a great lure, I have never seen it before, a classic for sure. A better question may be what scent do you use on that lure, something in a areosal can maybe that smells like fake fruit or very smelly Roses.......LOL

I don't think anyone on the thread seriously suggested them as a lure that will catch fish consistently mate. Its just a bit of a joke having a go at some of the lures that people come up with.
