Is it when you are actually winding line in? if so lube your line roller, if not take it back where you got it from.

I'm no expert on the internal workings of reels, so I will only be of limited help (although I have pulled my Capricorn apart and resembled it for maintenance).

Does it make the noise whilst you're winding line in, or does it make the noise regardless. If it makes a noise whilst you're winding line in (with a bit of tension), it might be the line roller bearing that needs to be replaced or lubricated. This is a common problem (I think with not-so-well-maintained reels), but this shouldn't be the case for a new reel.

P.S. My Capricorn's line roller does make a noise when winding in my line under tension, but I've lived with it for 2 years or so now. Lubricating the bearing only seems to solve the problem temporarily, ie. a few sessions.

Mine had the same problem and if i recall correctly the shaft was bent. Check where it is rubbung and where the shaft is straight.

Hope that helps.

Ben's point makes sense as well. Check both.
