There should be instructions inside the Fireline packet to show you how to spool your reel.
cheers, Nathan

Make sure you use some backing 4-6 kg mono will be o.k.
If you have a spare spool the same size, load the fireline on first & then the backing dont overfill the spool, then wind the line back on to the main spool. A good tip is to make sure the knot joining the fireline to the backing is tucked in down the bottom of the spool so it wont catch while casting, you mainly get this problem with 4 pound fireline though. good luck Chris |

Quote:
If you only put braided line on your spool, the line will spin on the spool, and wont hold firmly. Once you cover the metal spool with mono line, it will stop the fireline from spinning around the spool. Join the two lines using a double uni knot, trim the ends, so you're not left with a big knot on your spool. To get an accurate measure of how much backing you need to put on, you really need 2 spools to do it right. First you spin on the fireline, then the mono until it is full, then you reverse the process so the mono goes on first, and the fireline will be on top, which will be the line you are casting with. As someone said, just take it to your local tackle store and they will do it for you. Cheers |
