New Inventions in Lure fishing Reels

Just wondering if anyone just saw the Inventions show on ABC. It had a invention for a rell that was designed for lure fishing . The reel was just like any other reel in looks , but it had a spool that could be set just off centre to the axis .
Having the spool off centre to the axis , allowed the reel to act as if the lure was being jigged on retrieved . Sending action downt to the lure , without the need to physically exert any movement at all , other than winding the reel . The spool could be set at different stages off centre depending on the lure and type of retrieve required . The spool could also be retrofitted to different reels . Aparently the line lay was not effected . Sounds to be an awesome invention . Does anyone else have any thoughts on this type of reel ?

new reel

yeh that reel was developed by a couple of Perth guys apparently USA are very interested in taking it further for the lucrative Bass fishermen market etc.

Brian abbott from fleet tackle saw one of the first proto types looks like it may be the next big thing.

only hope the states don't buy the guys out cause you can bet the price will be $$$$$$$
