Taking more than whats needed even after giving them away there would be so much waste. At least they were all size.

That sucks but if you want to see bad stuff come to where I live on the Pumicestone Passage during winter bream season. Kills of 15 to 30 bream often more I commonly see 60's in the 23 to 28cm range are common & by common I mean every high tide for the 2 weeks leading up to full moon for a 4 month period. This goes on 7 days a week & I often see the same blokes out every day doing it. I saw 2 bags of 80 plus last winter. But these people are breaking NO rules.Same in whiting season as well. It pisses me off. The thing that pisses me off even more is the fact that the minimum length in Queensland is only 23cm & there is NO bag limit
Now honestly people if you want to eat a bream you aren't going to take a 23cm fish are you? Wouldn't get a mouthfull of it. Try making it 32cm & a bag limit of 4 I reckon. As far as I am concerned the Passage was closed to all commercial fishing 3 years ago as it is recognised as a major breeding area in SE QLD for bream, whiting & flathead so why let rec anglers continue to take cricket scores of fish during spawning season?? I nearly blow a fuse when these old **^%**& walk over to you at the ramp & start boasting about the 100 plus bags they have taken.

It realy is a matter of re educating. I used to think that way, I used to fish that way!( But I never waisted any fish!)

I'm afraid most fisherman still think it's about catching the most and the biggest!!!!!!!

Don't get mad, that's the way they have been taught, they know no different!!!!!!

Re- Education is the only way!!!!!!

Keep Smiling.

Ravin, you finaly got your aim right, were getting useful rain in Sydney!!!!!!!!

No worries Bluefin I had to get it right sometime. You are right about re educating people as well. It is so damn frustrating at times though
