Shallow vs Deep

I was just wondering has anyone had any luck with changing to deep running lures when things go quite. I usually fish with sneaky scorpions and halco Lasers which run at a metre but when things go quiet would i be better of fishing a Tilsn Bass or Halco Combat which run down around 2 to 2.5 metres.
Thanks Daws

welcome to the site daws.

it depends on how deep the fish are holding or where you are fishing. if you are fishing water with deeper holes etc then a deep diver might do the trick, on the other hand, if your fishing shallower water then a deep diver might snag or sppok the fish as it bounces along the bottom.

its all about being flexible and willing to try different things, not just what your use to using.

Daws,
The Halco 52's are deep divers and catch a huge range of fish. Today alone saw Bream, Flathead and Grunter.

I've just got a shipment of Storm hards and the Hot 'n Tot in similar colours to the popular 52 looks the goods.

Fingers crossed.

Daws,
Just got my shitment and will be out this arvo giving them the once over.

There are a few I think will be a big hit, but there is nothing like that pic of the fish with the lure in it's mouth.

Got Swanfish this weekend and will give you the low down after that. They are mid to deep diving lures so you have a range to cover.

I'll wack up a few pics of the ones I like the look of. Also got some of the new plastics as well, now I have to diversify to plastics

The lures look awesome, but i don't know whether i'm a big fan of the reflective (metal) bib though.
the deep diving lures are best suited to deep areas such as bridges. I would use shallow lures on flats, unless they are pretty deep flats where a deep diver can be used without diggin up to much dirt!
