Twinpower 1000 or Luvias 1500?

Here's the lowdown on the 2 reels:

Twinpower 1000:
6 ball bearing + 1 roller bearing
Weight : 195 grams
Cost: $370

Luvias 1500:
6 ball bearing + 1 roller bearing
Weight : 215 grams
Cost: $400

Feedback on twinpower:
Not much feedback and from the few, nice smooth lightweight reel.

Feedback on Luvias:
More people using them than twinpower, love it, lays line really well, looks sexy, but on the negative note, roller bearing makes noise after some use.

With all that in hand, which reel would you choose between the two and why?

Get the Luvias, but don't pay more than $350 for it or you're getting ripped off. You should be able to source a Certate 1500 for around $400.

Ok.. so its one all. I'm actually leaning towards the twinpower but I still haven't made up my mind yet.

Luvias......

I've never had a problem with the roller bearing, and believe me when i say that it gets treated badly.....

Having said that though, i did have some problems with my Stradic roller bearing (ceased)......

Swoffa's right, I wouldn't pay anything over $350 for a Luvias.

Chuinqx,
I have a 2500 Twinpower and have nothing but praise for these reels .
I also have FB,FA,AR Stellas and still enjoy the Twinpower they are a much better reel than the Sustain to use.
My Twinpower is 2 years + and hasn't missed a beat and accounted for a lot of Bream and Jewies on plastic.

Just came back from a breaming session on the parra. My luvias bail arm bearing has ceased!! this is a real big turn off. I simply hate the sound the reel makes now. even with me greasing and oiling the bearing so regularly its still ceased on me. Surprised that the luvias bearing has ceased earlier than my twinpower bearing. That is even while my twinpower has been used more than my luvias. Very very very disappointed. Now i gotta go get a replacement bearing

regards

DArryl

The Twinpower is the perfect match for that rod mate.. thats what I used to run on it.. and I have a lot of Twinpowers Top reel.. even better now with the power handle.
