-bass minnow
-hawg,cut down
-storm pre rigged,redfin imitation
-any small yabby/shrimp imitation
-atomics,all

just had a thought, the smallest blade dancers may work alright, just an idea.

what size plastics do you guys fish when going for trout or reddies and whats youre opinion on best tail type for trout ie paddle ,curly, twin, shad etc. i was wondering because i have alot of paddletails and curly tails in 1 1/2-2inch size and want to get some variation in my tacklebox but dont know if they are effective or not.
cheers

Depends on where you fish.

I'm not a fan of paddle tails for trout. Not to say they won;t catch fish.

Single tails go ok for rivers.

My 2 favourites are bass minnows and cut down hawgs.

However i don't generally fish bass minnows in rivers.

Match the hatch. If you fish a lake that has heaps of mudeyes and no baitfish DON'T fish bass minnows and vis versa...

Has anyone tried a wigglefin action disc? If so did you have any luck? Personally i would lean towards single curl tail grubs as my no1 choice as they throw off quite a good amount of vibration which in my limited experience of trout on plastics seems to be the thing that gets thier attention more than anything else!

Addict,

You could use them trolling but they can be cast and retrieved too!!

I would suggest you use a float stopper above the action disc.

It feels like a bibbed lure when you retrieve it. The vibrations can be felt through your rod.

Hey Eddie STONE do you find the need to upsize the jig head to maintain some depth on the retrieve when using the wigglefin discs when casting from the shore?btw lovely brown you got there!

Trout boy. I have only used them in rivers so the depth isn;t really a major issue.

Just cas and retrieve thm similar to a HB.

The will make a stick bait come to life

I Put it ON the lure.......

Try a float stopper to stop it from sliding up the line.
