Once you become a fully fledged "Ideas Man", its amazing how seamlessly your skills transfer between projects - even if its something you've never done before

No, but they do have little rubber things that can stop it from going everywhere...

My innovator juices have been flowing recently and gave me an itch to create a cheap and better alternative to the factory bought underseat storage accessory from the manufacturer of my kayak.
Now i admit i bought the main component, but thought I would show you anyway. Total cost is $20 and some bit and pieces outta the shed. Factory option is $160 and its just some fabric with 2 pockets to hold trays. |

Thanks for your inspiring words!
Its got me thinking about what i could do to take it to the next level. Images of battery storage at the rear and a dry bag to make it a lift in and lift out 'pod' style system are swirling aroubd in my head

I bought a whole heap of these a while back. Although their swimming action is real nice - I've been worried that the terminals were too piss weak for big fish - so I havent been using them.
Thats about to change ![]() I got rid of the split rings and replaced with crimped 30lb mono. Also upgraded the treble |

And I also add a strand of mono to the treble so I can attach split shots depending on the location.

Ahh ok - so I should reattach the treble with a split ring, so the mono only gets yanked if something fails. I just took it off coz it was a bit messy - but I see your point ------------------------- Job done - thanks for the tip Last edited by yellow door 1; 05-06-2016 at 03:47 AM. |

I couldnt just take your word for it, so I built a highly scientific rig to test your theory
You were spot on - only took around 8lbs of pressure to break 30lb mono when dragging the crimp against the nail
