I saw it I saw it
I got a sneak at this boat - they had two days of Haines Hunter Launches at the Seaworld Nara over the last 2 days
Very Much a US bass boat but looks like it is not just for flat water - Haines Hunter white with blue trim. Two rod lockers 120 l aft live well with full venturi and pump out and auto timer Two big bins to store 5 x big tackle boxes each 3 across seating. Slick finish and layout - this one had a 150hp ( the max ) but $36 with a 90 etec. with sounder but no electric 580 kg Carbon Fibre steering wheel! some talk of a body prorection for use amongst the racks. It will be on show this weekend at the Brisbane Show Gary |

Also, a link may not be a bad idea, I've been looking forward to seeing this one.

Swoffa,
I fished glass boats to 5.3 m in the racks over the last 5 years or so. All the potential damage is cosmetic - a scratch here or there - easily buffed or or touched up. I reckon it was worth the trade off for a more comfortable ride, not to mention that the extra weight of glass which anchors the boat and allows it to track better under windswept conditions. No Hull slap either so much, much quieter. Mick's poly bumpers certainly would help though. Coincidentally, my ProStrike's body armour panels will be fashioned out of Carbon Fibre reinforced with glass. Catch you on the water, Ange |

Swoff, thanks for the info... I've been thinking about putting some sort of protection against rubbing as well.... I might send Mick an email to find out where he get the stuff....
Ange, what's this ProStrike body armour panel?

As the name implies, body armour are glass reinforced panels moulded to fit the ProStrike's rear quarter flanks and does the same job as body armour would a knight.
The mouldings are sacrificial allowing the angler to concentrate on steering the boat from the front deck without worrying about the rear - where most damage occurs - of the boat scraping against the racks or jagged dock structure. When required, the panels can be removed and replaced at will. Catch you on the water, Ange |
