YES im looking for the thinnest possible leader material for around the 12lb rating..
it doesnot have to be flurocarbon, even plain mono is good enought BUT HAS TO BE SUPER THIN. and reasonably strong and abarasive resistant.. |

Just tie an fg knot and you'll get 20lb through them

I did the same, took a few cracks to actually get it how I wanted it but now I don't use anything else for those middle strength lines. Ill try find the video I learned from, was far easier to follow than most
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xZjRw_BhXU It's worth taking the time to get right!

thats the easiest way to do an FG/sebile knot there is, and holds better than any other method. as for the thinnest mono, there is some line system line in at my local that is about half the diameter of most fluro's, i cant remember what it's called but i'll go have a look next time i'm there.

starting to push it with 12lb on the micro guides if you are running the 2 light weight gen blacks. I was using my .8egi line and 10lb yamatoya and on my drunk monkey and had to do a really good knot so it didint hang up. Mind you the daiwa emeraldas egi braid is fairly ordinary to get a decent knot in it but when i did my modified albright it worked ok.

i will check out these lines you mention.. i will have the wicked weasel when it arrives.. but i dont think that makes a difference to the microguides as they are the same afaik... out of curiosity would you guys go a heavier lb leader or lighter leader than the mainline??? |

Doesn't matter mate, just pick and choose according to what you're doing with it. I have 20lb on my 2500 caldia and ill tie on anywhere from 12lb leader for bay snaps or bass to 40lb for jacks
