Interesting Knot

I havnt seen this knot befor, as Im only new to the game thats not supprising. Anyone have any input on this knot?

Its used for joining lines of different diameter.
Basically a loop of the light line (orange in the pic) is is wound back up the heavier line (grey in the pic), then a uni knot is tied over both the line and tag end of the light line to hold it in place.
I've sen it done but it is a bit fiddly. An improved albright knot would be better IMO.
