leader weights
I have only recently started using braid and leaders and am unsure of the weights i should be using. I have 6 pound fireline and mostly fish barnacle covered snags and posts. What size leader should i use and what knot should i tie to avoid it breaking.
Cheers guys

It really depends on how close the pylons are and how tight up against them the bream are and how big they are, I would normally use 6lb leader around pylons but even a tiny bream can turn and rub you against a mussel and it will be all over so it depends on whether you really need to give them plenty of pressure on getting them out then you might go higher in strength but i honostly dont think it matter all that much about what strength you use aslong as its enough to pull them out fast because even 10lb line wont withstand a pylon full of razors.
Thats just my opinion...

cheers for that mate, i am mostly up close to pylons so i will stick to the 8-10 pound stuff if my line wont cut it.
