If I had to guess, he would be talking about 4lb Berkley Fireline Crystal. Independent tests show it actually breaks at around 12lb

The 14lb I just spooled up breaks at around 40lb - I would have preferred the 6lb which breaks at around 20lb - but I didnt have any on me.

I just wanted a Braid that wouldnt break when tied to 17lb leader with an fg

I'd only be guessing but I reckon alot of Melbournes metro, Jewie on lure, chasing is done in water under 6m deep. We do have deeper water averaging around 15m towards the mouth to allow for the big Ships

How do your Jews go with Barotrauma. I dont have any experience with it but from what Ive read - things can get dicey after 10m

All my Jew this winter have been caught on Samaki Viblicious in both split and thumper tail. 70 m/m, in around 6 to 9 meters of water. Although the largest came from a 2 meter deep channel between the shore and a sand flat. I use a lot of Sax Scent crab. The small trebles on these lures is why I use light gear. But dont be fooled by the 5 lb tag on the Fins 40G , when I get snaged the knot at the lure is the one that breaks on 16 lb fluro leader, FG leader knot of course.

I forgot to add that this is for throwing lures
As per ops post. It originally was not designated as lure only.

You aren't very good at this are you ?

To help you out it say that Larry edited it at 4:30pm and you answers at 9:08pm the same day. Seems I am pretty good at this.

What now?

Obviously i read the thread when it first was posted, returned later to post. At which time i did not re-read the ( now edited ) thread. I sincerely apologies breamingwithpassiveagressive if my inability to re-read each and every single edited thread post has soured your internet experience.

I hope through hard work and real effort i will be able to harass and annoy other forum members even following them across multiple threads to question their posts. I will endeavor to follow your fine example. It will be tough but i believe i can make the internet great again.

Im Laddercat and i approve this message.
