Is G loomis not making the glx anymore?

Hey fishos. I heard a rumour the other day that the g loomis blokes are gunna stop making the dsr 820 glx soon. Is that true or a bunch of porky pies? I was thinking of buying one but it looks like it might not happen.

Already stopped mate, the new glx rods started selling 12 or so months ago and unfortunately they don't do a 4-8lb.
I reckon tho loomis will bring out trout rods in nrx or new glx soon for us to use over here on bream.

Bummer. I used to own the gl2 and I thought that was a good rod. It ended up getting stolen from my house along with a heap of other rods, reels and about 50 bream lures. The mrs said I can get a new rod so I was looking at upgrading to the glx but it doesn't look like it'll happen now. What are the new rods that g loomis are making that'll take place of the dsr820s?

Call around. Im sure youll still find the dsr glx around at some stores. Theyre worth looking for.

And they occassionally appear on the classifieds at very good prices but for some strange reason they take a while to get sold. Worth putting up a WTB in the classifieds, I reckon.
