Super thin braid - Best of the best?

What's everyone's thoughts on the best ultra light braid? I run 3LB Fluro on my Ajings but want to have spare spools with braid too. Pretty much nothing over 0.4

Word of mouth Toray Saltline light fish is the ducks nuts.

For the thinnest strongest braid it would be hands down S.A.S 6lb ,

It's the only braid on my 2004 reels that has never had an issue with wind knots .... It's hard to tie knots to 8lb leader and up but 2-3lb leader is perfect .. Only 45$ and poos all over sunline castaway , super PE ect ect

My vote goes to Frog Braid. Haven't tried SAS yet but Frog is super strong, casts brilliantly and holds knots extremely well.

Is it really that much than castaway?
So tying knots to 10pd Fluor would be a pain?

I've checked the dimensions of a lot of different braids trying to find the thinnest and S.A.S was easily the thinnest braid for it's strength, but there are a few others that match/exceed it's thickness but break at a lower strain, YGK G-soul X3 is one of them.

Love the S.A.S. braid too. Thin, strong, and smoother than a baby's bum.

I tie sh?t knots but I think 10lb would be a hassle!

And way cheaper than castaway and softer ... Yep softer

Hi Will.

How much lines did you manage to put on 2004?

Cheers

I agree, i think sas in the 6 lb would be the go, super thin and strong, the knots did take me some practice though

i havent had my SAS for that long and while i like it i prefer unitika eging super pe 2 (white), SAS has a little bit more stiffness to it compared with super pe 2 imo but not much at all
still im going to get some SAS in lighter lb's and give it a run, compare it to my lighter super pe
