Minn Kota foot peddle

hey guys

i have a riptide 55lb bow mount on my boat and the speed control has carked it

everything works just now its stuck at speed 10

any ideas?

new 1 or old? With the new one the speed adjust is done with a sliding magnet. Shake it around in some soapy water, dry it, spray a little innox in from behind and slowly roll the speed control up and down- the magnet might be stuck.
