help with spooling up

im goin to spool up my baitcaster with 10lb fireline and am wondering if i should use a mono backing???

Definately as it costs a lot more to fill the spool with Fireline and you will never use it.

I have even halved the 125 yd spools between two reels before as where I fish I'll never have a run over 60 metres.

But to start with just put the whole 125yds on top of a mono backing.

I use a baitcaster sometimes and 10lb is a lot harder to cast on one than 4lb is

If your really going to get into chasing bream on lures, look at getting a spinning reel. I love baitcasters but I would grab a spinning reel over one for bream with soft plastics any day.

yeah i agree baitcasters are very hard to use when u r lure fishing for bream and yes i would use the whole spool with mono backing but i have never had a fish run that long before though.
