News on 1 pc Bluestone Bream 6'6 2-3kg!
I have managed to acquire from Batson's Enterprises (our USA blank and component manufacturer) a limited supply of our previous Bluestone blanks (1 pc version) and now can offer this popular low priced rod again while supplies last to anglers on a strict budget. The RRP is $295 but I am selling these at $199 to help the up and coming bream community who want a good quality entry level rod that is made here in Australia by us. (We make them along side our Nighthawks and CPlus.) These are a great little rod for the money. They come with 4 inch cork rear grips and 2 inch foregrip, deluxe stainless reel seat and black guides made by our blank manufacturer.
Anyone who owned an original model before can verify they are a sweet rod. Originally Bill Maguire, known as Billfish on various sites, and one of our Pro Anglers--used this model exclusively when he first became acquainted with our rods. He loved it (as I am sure he will verfiy). He later moved up into the Technus Pro Range and CPlus but the Bluestone Bream was the first rod to give him the BD bug! So, for those interested, drop me an email info@blackdiamondrods.com Cheers, Cindy |

I can vouch for these rods, having bought a two-piece not long ago, and it has now become my preferred rod of choice over my struddie sicstik pro. They also look nooice...
They are a great deal!

Thanks Phism for your comments. Glad you enjoy your Bluestone.
Bill Maguire (Billfish) asked me to post this. He is off at the moment preparing for the Bream GF. "The first Black Diamond Rod I ever owned was a 2-3kg Bluestone Bream. When I first picked this rod up I thought to myself that it felt really good but I wondered how it would cast and handle a decent sized fish. I didn't have to wait long to find out. While walking the shoreline on my favorite waterway (The Parramatta River) I found I was able to cast light jigs from 1/32oz-1/16oz a good distance with little effort and when the first fish came along the rods performance was exemplary. The soft/medium action of the top section enabled me to fight fish without fear of the hooks pulling and when it came to lifting the fish up the wall the butt section came into it's own. Being rated at 2-3kg one could be forgiven for thinking this is a "light" rod and to a certain degree it is, but at the same time it has more than enough power to handle some very big bream and flathead. As usual Steve Ross does a magnificent job in putting this rod together and the quality of his workmanship is second to none. If you're looking to get into the bream fishing scene, this is the rod to get you started. For an entry level rod I have to say it has just about everything a bream angler needs at a very affordable price". Bill "Billfish" Maguire |

Hi all,
I too reckon the bluestone is tops!!! Since mid july when i got mine i have pulled a number of kiloplus fish so it does have a bit of power!! Some of these were tight in snags making it far from easy. The bluestone managed to pull fish from very "tough" water. eddy |

I have had a number of people write and ask me if I still have any of these Bluestone Bream 6'6 2-3kg and are they still on special AT $199.
Yes, I have some still and at this price while supplies last. (They are a limited model SO DO GRAB THEM WHILE YOU CAN!). Cheers, Cindy |

Don't often get involved in this sort of crap that has surfaced on this thread but I will say this try to use your time constructively on the boards; sure everyone has an opinion but some opinions don't really need to be voiced and a just purely for flaming purposes. We have had crap surface time and time again and for what purpose? Seems it achieves nothing but negativity. As has been mentioned its easier just not to read the thread if you are not interested and even easier not to reply. Like it or not BD is a sponsor so deal with it. Some people are just not fishing enough..................
