Power differencs

If a hull hase got at rating for at 30hp motor does this mean its for a 2 stroke & a 4 Stroke as well. Do the ratings stay the same with the 2 strokes & the 4 strokes or is there a difference. Or could you down size if you get a 4 Stroke

HP is HP. Two stroke, four stroke, rotary or diesel.
Very different torque curves, but thirty horse is thirty horse.
You may need to look at the maximum transom weight if the boat builder quotes one.
