TNSB 602 questions

Hey guys, I'm just after a bit of info on the tournament specialist bream 602 model. I'm currently using a 601 black label for casting lures around pontoons and moored boats and it is an awesome little rod for that, but I'm looking at offloading that to get something 2 piece and the TNSB has caught my eye.

Now, I've read it's a very light actioned rod but will it have enough grunt to fish around snags, etc? How will it go casting 3/4gram lures? I'm also thinking it would double as a small stream trout stick, is this correct?

Does anyone have one who can give me a bit of a run down on how it goes?

Cheers in advance!

get the 2-4lb 6'7'' one i reckon. I have that and have landed some really nice fish on it and you can push it even harder than the 2-6lb 6'0''er

I've got a 6'6" lox which I enjoy using, so was more looking for something at 6' in a two piece to replace the black label.

Also mate, how do you go fishing double clutches and lures like that on the 6'7"? I'm also looking at getting a 7'0" for flats and landbased stuff and I love double clutches haha.

Thanks for that mate. A short rod for casting to structure that is too light to pull fish from it doesn't make a lot of sense to me haha.

They damn soft rods. Pretty much only good for fishing really small topwaters, unweighted plastics and for small stream Trout IMO.

I have been throwing double clutches no problem with mine. 75mm dc's for bream perch and trout in the last few weeks and it has knocked over all-comers. I have mine with a 2004 exist (old model) and it is light as a feather.

Another member on here freshwater.adam has the 6'0'' with a 1003 certate and we put them head to head fishing for Trout and Trevally and when switching up the rods we both found the 6'7'' had the better grunt than the 6'0''.

He was able to throw double clutches on the 6'0'' also but the 6'7'' certainly handled a fish on better.

Neither rod is bad, in fact they are both great just one is more great in my books.

Also keep in mind that they are not 2 piece like other 2 pieces they are more like a 30-70 split and the bag they come in weighs more than the rod.

Thanks for the info mate. I'm gonna have to find a shop who has one in stock to have a proper look.
