still the unluckiest bastard!

Hey guys. Some may remember my post about the cricket ball in the nose!, well it gets worse.
On Saturday, whilst fielding in the covers, a catch was skied to me. I called the other fielders out but one doesn't hear me and does a Gillespie Waugh special, and i come out with a broken leg.
My tibula and fibula are both broken and i cant walk for nearly 8 weeks. This may put me out for the Swan round and i get to sit on my arse doin nothin for the rest of the summer.
I also get to start uni with a cast!!!
Oh well ,warren has sent me starlo's book and a breamin video with my latest order to keep me busy!
Thanx Mate

Have a good one guys!

Dave

Man that sucks some serious a$$hole
It's been years since I've played cricket, and am missing it bigtime. I love my fielding, so I feel for ya mate!

Perhaps you could enter the Swan River round as a non-boater and try and find someone with a swivel seat/chair at the front of their boar? lol, all you'd have to do then is just spin around and have a cast :P

Yeh, I've been itching to get back into it ... but two seasons ago, a car accident during pre-season ended that season. And with returning back to uni last year, this season was a no-go due to lack of $'s for new gear + fees, also the fact that my uni hours clashed with training on both Tuesdays and Thursdays

Oh well, one day!

i thought cricket was a gentlemens game??

give it up kingpin and take up thai boxing...it cant get any worse can it??

i remember when i played under 16's, i skied a catch and watch with glee (for me) as the ball bounced off the guys middle finger. his whites looked like he'd been in a abattoir(sp). split his finger to the first knuckle. we ran 7 while his teammates helped him then we felt bad and helped him off as well. we won the game and made the finals

HEHEHE
yeah my first words were
"you broke my leg ya C$%T"
i was in agony. And get this, the emergency splint was put on too tight, so i was in agony. None of the narcotics would work and i ended up goin through 70ml of a mix of pethadine and morphine in a very short period of time. When the splint was removed, the pain stooped and the drugs attaked my respiratory system. I stpoped breathing and a big emergency started. My girlfriend was packin it!!!
Now i'm helpless and she's painted my toenails and i cant do anything bout it!! Just wait for those pics!

You'll be right

Hey Dave,

Hope you feel better soon. Thought I might tell you about JP's experience with a broken leg and ankle.

Whilst being a crazy bas***d in South Aus, he attempted a turn that went wrong. Was lost at sea for just over 9 hours at night, with all the white pointers. Eventually the rescuers found him and on arriving at the marina attempted to drop him over the side of the boat instead of onto the wharf. Luckily he had strong arms and managed to do a handstand to stop from going overboard.

When taken to hospital he had a titanium pin put in his leg from his knee down to his ankle. Two years later and three lots of surgery he was back out windsurfing again.

He tells me you will be fine to fish the Swan comp, as you will not be in any serioius pain, just a few aches.

Hope this makes you feel a little better

Mim

Yeah thanx. I may be having the same surgery on friday, we dont know yet!!!
Yeah it doesn't hurt, but it aches and cramps up all the time. I might be right for the bream comp i think. Just have to sit it out. I just got selected for the DohDohDoh cricket game and i have to decline, this sucks!
Does JP still have problems with his leg now?

Thanx Guys

Dave

Not really. In fact the break helped as he used to have one leg longer than the other, now they are both the same length.

His main problem now is in his ankles, but that's another story
LOL

Mim

P.S. keep smiling (it does get better)
