Question on raider SP

gday fellow breamers,
i am thinking about picking up a 2-4kg raider soft plastics rod. the 7'3 version in particular.
on the shimano website, it says a lure rating of 2-10g. For those of you that have one, how does it go casting 1/20 and 1/16 jigheads? is it ok for this? or should i be looking elsewhere.
any help or advice will be appreciated.

Someone on here uses it regularly but can't remember. I wanted the exact same one as its a nice looker. He mentioned stiff tip and better for blades than plastic, even at that length.

I've got that rod and it goes pretty well. I mainly use it for heavier plastics 1/8 and 1/6 and have even used it for 1/4 throwing for big flathead. I originally thought it was destined for deeper work only but put on a 1/32 and it actually casts it okay. Will easily throw 1/16oz I reckon

I have the soft plastic version of these rods and find it great for throwing them around, its the 2-4 6'6 1 piece. Also have a 1-4 in the lure project model and love this rod, i use it with a 1000 aernos. woth a look.

I was looking to get one of these rods but was put off by the design around the reel seat. They have a large black plastic lump above the blank on top of the reel seat. I guess it may have been designed as a thumb rest or something but it does feel like it gets in the way when holding the rod. This is only on the SP version

I have a raider sp travel rod.... 7foot I think. Casts 1/20 no problems. Excellent economic rod. I've got a 2000 Diawa legalis on it and it balances great too
